If the membrane is intact and can be reused, cut it on three sides and carefully separate it from the plywood, leaving the fourth side attached. The membrane will be reused and laid back in place later. </aside>
Partial membrane removal for plywood replacement. Full sheet removal: Unscrew all perimeter screws holding the sheet. Gently pry the plywood from underneath and lift it up around the edges.
Partial plywood removal (damaged area): Place a new sheet over the damaged section and trace its outline with a marker. Use a circular saw to carefully cut along the traced lines. Use a multitool for cutting corners.
